Qualifications:

  • Must be a Latina residing in Wyoming
  • Must be a 7th-12th grade student
  • Must submit a completed Application with reference
  • Must be able to attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings


Expectations: Teen advisor will assist committee with recruiting, planning and promotion of the Wyoming Latina Youth Conference. Teen advisors’ are expected and encouraged to participate fully when discussing cultural and age relative topics. Teen advisors will assist executive board with miscellaneous tasks and duties prior to conference and during event. Teen advisors are required to attend all components of conference and present themselves in a professional demeanor and dress.

My name is Brizaney, and I am a 10th-grade student at East High School. I am an active member of Morgan’s Message, dedicated to promoting mental health awareness among teens and educating others about the importance of mental well-being.

Being involved with the Latina Youth Conference is meaningful to me because it has played a significant role in helping me embrace my identity and take pride in my cultural heritage. Through this experience, I have gained confidence in who I am and where I come from. As a volunteer, I hope to support and inspire other young Latinas as they explore their own identities, build self-confidence, and recognize their potential.

My name is Daniela and I am a 10th grader at East High School. I am a teen advisor with the Wyoming Latina Youth Conference. I am also an ambassador for the Morgan’s Message Club, where we spread awareness around mental health for athletes and other youth groups. As a Latina I am excited and honored to help young girls feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin as well as help them feel represented in Latino culture. I value the Latina Youth Conference because it helped me become more comfortable and confident showing my Latina identity. I truly hope that I can help other girls as well.
